Hmmm...my blue dress looks like my own full length gown/robe Maid Marian outfit?! Hmmm...makes you wonder now if Robin Hood really did redistribute the wealth to the poor or if he had started his own little empire...points towards all the controversies with modern day charities and not-for-profits too! You can never please everyone...and the guru shouldn't take me or himself too seriously...I really wasn't trying to de-robe him or cut off his head! Thanks for the blue robe though...LOL! :) Why does all of this sound like a game of Dungeons and Dragons...not that I've ever played it though...

@Meady - The Guru's words only mean something to those who are open to his wisdom. If you would like to derobe the Guru, please be advised that there is a long queue.

Incidentally, just because you do not drink alcohol or take bhang for a particular festival, does not mean that nobody else in Trinidad does.

Ahmmm...no...people don't dance like that for Phagwa/Holi in Trinidad and they do not drink alcohol or bhang during the festivities here!

Not sure what a dirty bird is but perhaps humans should leave animals out when they want excuses for their lewdness!

For a better look at holi festivities within the Indian diaspora you can check this blog post here: http://universalcollectiveprayer.blogspot.com/2009/03/happy-holi-or-playful-phagwa-2009.html

As a side note...

I'm not sure about this guru
Passersby should be careful what they ask him
I hope he doesn't soon say something he might regret
Perhaps he should be de-robed and his head chopped off
For he hasn't given one bit of sensible advice yet! :)

Reminds me of the Indian festival of holi when people throw coloured powder and coloured water on each other. This is part of a series of Holi rituals observed in celebration of the end of winter and the harvest in India, Sri Lanka and Nepal, but is observed by Indians in other countries such as South Africa, United Kingdom, United States, Fiji and even Trinidad.

Dirty birds all over the world!
